PRINCESS TEA PARTIES

TRYPS Children’s Theater put the “fun” in fundraiser with our Princess Tea Parties. Youngsters and their parents and grandparents and godparents arrive for the party in their own royal apparel. The TRYPS actors portray a variety of princesses: Snow White, Belle, Cinderella, Princess Aurora, Ariel, Princess Jasmine and Aladdin for seventy guests at each party.

Tea Parties include coloring, singing, and a party favor for each royal guest. Youngsters meet their royal hosts and hostesses and pose for photographs with them. The petite guests dance and participate in the Princess Parade in their dazzling and adorable finery.

The Princess Tea Party works magic for the company. It is part of our annual fundraising campaign necessary to subsidize reduced tickets for school groups. TRYPS offers special weekday performances geared to elementary schools and students. The company lowers its public ticket price from $7 to $2 for school groups. Performances, held at Columbia College’s Launer Auditorium, host schools from Central Missouri for our weekday performances.

The company’s mission is “to teach, to reach, and to inspire through the magic of theater.” Whether in the classroom, on the stage, in the audience, or dancing at the Princess Tea Parties, TRYPS strives to create special, magical events where children can grow, imagine, and play.
