What Happens at Play Day??
We spend the entire day "playing"!
We divide students by age group. They rotate through several different classes during the day. We sing, dance, make crafts, play games, play theater and improvisational games.
There are three 1/2 hour rest periods during the day for mid-morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack breaks. Classes are high energy, and the day is very long for young people. We provide down time to help them enjoy the day. During rest time, students can watch a movie or draw or talk with friends.
TRYPS has adult teachers with students all day - Executive Director Jill Womack and Play Day Coordinators - Tamra Walker & Donna Hills (both are certified elementary educators).
